At CPS, our teaching style is a combination of Russian and American methods, focusing on proper technique, and customized to each student's goals. Year-round studio events and competitions are available, and piano and voice lessons are centered on learning through fun!
We offer piano and voice lessons for both children and adults. Our childrens' program focuses on nurturing an innate love of music. What better way than to integrate friendships, games, incentives, and piano parties into the program? Our sequential and detailed curriculum caters to the needs of each student, providing a well-rounded musical education and a solid foundation on which to grow.

PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS
Be a part of our comprehensive piano program with 30, 45, or 60-minute weekly private piano lessons. Our teachers are highly experienced and teach piano lessons to students of all ages and levels.
Centennial Piano Studio offers a wonderful environment for an exceptional learning experience on a high quality grand piano. Our teachers are highly experienced pianists who have worked with students of all ages and levels, from very young children just beginning piano lessons to adults as well as advanced concert pianists preparing for competitions, concerts and auditions.
COMPETITIONS & EVENTS
Centennial Piano Studio participates in the DEMTA regional festival, Colorado Federation of Music Clubs State Festival, annual recital, and the International Duo Competition at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
The DEMTA and CFMC Festivals are competitive local and state-level festivals where students may display their hard work and expertise. The festivals are held each April with state winners announced in May. The International Duo Competition is an elite competition that includes a concert at the 5-star Broadmoor Hotel each January. Tamminga Music Studio students are frequently among the winners for each of these events.
SEMI-PRIVATE OR PRIVATE
Some beginners and younger students aren't quite ready for private piano lessons. We take each unique situation into consideration to make sure your child has the best possible introduction to piano.
Private piano lessons are offered in Centennial, Parker, Highlands Ranch, and Littleton CO. Semi-private lessons are also offered in each location with no more than two students per session. Beginners can start private lessons as soon as they are able to focus for an entire lesson and have proven their ability to complete theory homework and practice the piano individually for a period of time every day.
VOICE LESSONS IN CENTENNIAL, CO
PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS
We also provide a comprehensive private and group voice program. Sight reading and ear training using contemporary music to make things FUN! 30, 45, or 60-minute private and group classes available.
Emphasis is on proper vocal production that can be applied to a wide range of singing styles. Our teachers have extensive experience in vocal teaching and emission development. Musicianship, performance and dramatic interpretation are part of each lesson. Hour and half-hour sessions available.
VOCAL TRAINING
Special voice training and coaching expand the vocal range, improve breathing and improve vocal control. Concerts and festivals help students play in public, build confidence, and grow as musicians.
Vocalists at Centennial Piano Studio regularly focus on breathing, phonation, resonance, relaxation, and tonality. The techniques and strategies we suggest come from observing studio voice lessons, proven vocal pedagogy, and teaching singers in choirs of varying ages and abilities.
EXPERT VOCAL INSTRUCTION
Centennial Piano Studio provides expert vocal instruction in a fun environment. We focus on diaphramatic breathing, tonal quality, harmonization theory, blending, sight reading, ear training, and music theory.
Students master breathing, projection, control, proper enunciation, jaw relaxation, correct pitch production, range, and the placement of the voice in the optimum spot in the head.The end results of our vocal instruction are increased power and vocal endurance, improved pitch and range, and confident performances.
